Learn to use ChatGPT and Microsoft Copilot safely in publishing and editorial work: for content creation, editing, images and audience communication. Hands-on, in-house or online, no technical background needed. This is our Advanced training, tailored to publishers and media.

ChatGPT and Copilot for publishers and newsrooms

You work with real cases from your own practice. Take an interview. You have the recording transcribed, summarise the conversation down to its core and then rewrite it in your own house style. The last step stays human work, with an editor who checks facts, tone and depth. That way you see how AI speeds up the groundwork without you giving up control.

Your trainers: Tim Goudriaan and Diederik Stolk.

By default we work with ChatGPT and Microsoft Copilot. For images we use the image generation in ChatGPT, Midjourney and Freepik. On request we also look at Claude, Gemini or Perplexity. In your organisation, AI text never goes live unseen. It always gets an editorial pass for facts, brand voice and depth.

We also offer the same format tailored to communications and PR and marketing.

For media, AI touches directly on copyright and intellectual property. We cover what you can and cannot publish, and where the limits lie for reuse and training data. You also practise deciding when to make AI content recognisable to your readers, so you protect your audience’s trust.

Since 2025 the EU AI Act has set AI literacy requirements across the EU. From 2 August 2026, transparency rules apply to AI content. Our training is designed to meet both. For broader compliance, our EU AI Act compliance consulting can help.

Part of the learning path

All our programmes can be taken on their own or as a learning path. This advanced training builds on the basics: if you want to lay the foundations first, start with AI literacy. Want to embed AI structurally in your editorial team afterwards? Then AI Way of Working is the natural next step. Want to introduce AI more broadly than training alone? See our AI consulting for organisations.

Good to know for your editorial team

The training is for publishers, editors, content creators and media professionals, from newcomers to experienced professionals. No technical background is required. We do ask you to create a ChatGPT account before or during the training. In some professions our training earns CPD or professional education points; get in touch about registration and options.
