Official and accredited

Get your official AI literacy certificate

With AI Advice & Training you do more than take a training. Afterwards you can have your knowledge officially assessed and recorded in an accredited certificate, issued by the Foundation for the Promotion of AI Literacy (Stichting ter bevordering van AI-Geletterdheid, SAIG). That way you show in black and white that you use AI responsibly and competently.

Accredited certificate · Independently assessed · Follows on from every training

How to get your certificate

1

Take a training

You take a training with AI Advice & Training. Afterwards you automatically receive the Awareness Badge.

2

Sit the exam

For an official certificate, you take the exam at your level for an exam fee. You prepare with us; the exam is administered independently on the foundation’s assessment platform.

3

Receive your certificate

If you pass, you receive the foundation’s official certificate. It can be verified and serves as evidence.

Why certify

Why an AI literacy certificate?

Since the European AI regulation (EU AI Act), AI literacy is no longer an optional ambition. Organisations that use AI have to take measures so that the people who work with it do so responsibly and competently, and it helps to be able to show what you did. A certificate of attendance shows that someone was there. A certificate shows that someone has actually mastered it.

  • Demonstrable. Tested in black and white against a recognised standard.

  • Independent. The verdict comes from the foundation, not from the party that trains you.

  • Up to date. The standard keeps pace with legislation and with the technology.

  • Recognisable. Employers and clients know what each level means.

Accredited and independent

Accredited by the Foundation for the Promotion of AI Literacy

We do not issue the certificates ourselves. The Foundation for the Promotion of AI Literacy does. That separation is deliberate: the party that trains you is not the party that decides whether you pass. That is why your certificate also carries weight outside our own walls.

AI Advice & Training is an accredited partner of the Foundation for the Promotion of AI Literacy. We prepare our participants for certification against one national standard; the exam is administered independently on the foundation’s assessment platform, separate from the trainer.

Independent assessment

The foundation assesses, not the trainer.

One national standard

The same requirements for everyone, with every provider.

Verifiable certificate

Evidence you can show, including to regulators.

Good to know

What exactly is an AI literacy certificate?

Official proof, issued by the Foundation for the Promotion of AI Literacy, that you have mastered AI literacy at a given level (Basic, Practitioner or Advanced) and that this has been assessed independently.

Do I need to take a training before I can get certified?

Yes. Certification is the final step of a training with AI Advice & Training, so you start the exam well prepared.

What does the exam cost?

The exam fee differs per level. Contact our office for the current fees.

Do I get the badge without an exam?

Yes. The Awareness Badge is included with every training. The official certificate also requires an exam.

Is this certificate a legal requirement?

No. The EU AI Act asks organisations that use AI to take measures for the AI literacy of their staff. The law does not prescribe a certificate. A certificate is not the only way to show what you have done, but it is one of the clearest ways to show AI literacy independently.
