Technical AI trainer, AI-assisted coding

We are two companies with one team. AI Advice & Training teaches Dutch organisations to work with AI. NewWorks builds the AI agents and tooling they need afterwards. More and more clients ask us to train their development teams: software developers, data scientists and researchers who want to know how to really use AI in their daily work. We are looking for a trainer to do that.

Working language: this role requires good Dutch and English. Part of the training is delivered in English, the rest in Dutch.

The role

You deliver training and workshops in AI-assisted coding to technical teams at consultancies, knowledge institutions and IT departments. Your participants have been writing code for years. They want to learn from someone with hands-on experience: how do you use AI to write well-structured, secure code? You have done that yourself, and you can turn it into a training people actually learn from.

What you will do

• Deliver training and hands-on workshops in AI-assisted coding, with tools such as Claude Code, GitHub Copilot and Cursor
• Work live with participants in their own code: refactoring, writing tests, debugging, generating documentation
• Lead the discussion on quality, security, code review and when not to use AI
• Develop and maintain training material and exercises, because the tools change every month
• Agree with the client what the team needs, and adapt the programme to it

What we ask

• A technical background. You have worked as a developer or engineer yourself and you read code with ease
• Experience in teaching, training or facilitating workshops. You know how to bring a group along, even when it starts out sceptical
• You use AI coding tools yourself every day and you have your own view of what they can and cannot do
• You can talk on equal terms with experienced programmers and architects, without overstating what AI can do
• Good Dutch and English. We deliver part of the training in English
